This policy explains what information this website collects, why it is collected, and who it is shared with. It includes disclosures specific to export control screening that apply to every enquiry.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Blue Ops ("we", "us") collects through this website, how that information is used, who it is shared with, and what choices you have.
It applies to this website and to requests for enquiries submitted through it. It does not apply to third-party sites reached from links on this site, or to information you provide to us outside the site, such as in a contract negotiation or a procurement process conducted by other means.
Most of the information we hold is information you provide deliberately, principally when you submit a briefing or partnership enquiry. That typically includes:
You do not need an account to browse this site. Where an account exists, we also hold the credentials and preferences associated with it.
When you visit the site, our servers and service providers record technical information automatically. That includes IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of those visits.
This information is used to operate and secure the site, to diagnose faults, and to understand which parts of the site are used. It is not used to build a marketing profile of you as an individual.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that submissions to our enquiry forms come from a person rather than an automated system. Turnstile runs in the background and requires no action from you. To perform that check, Cloudflare receives technical information about your visit, including IP address, browser and device characteristics, and interaction signals. Cloudflare processes that information as described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum. It is used to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic and is not used to build a marketing profile of you.
We use cookies and similar technologies for a limited set of purposes:
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Refusing strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the site, including the enquiries flow, from working.
This section is specific to the nature of what is offered here and deserves particular attention. The products described on this site are subject to United States export control law, as set out in our Terms and Conditions.
Information you provide about your organisation, your intended end use, the end user and the destination is collected for the purpose of establishing eligibility. That information may be:
You cannot opt out of this processing while also proceeding with a request. Where you object, the alternative is that we do not accept the request.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
Where you have asked to hear from us, or where an existing relationship makes it appropriate, we may send information about products, capability updates and events. Every such message carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop by writing to the address below.
Withdrawing consent for marketing does not affect communications that relate to a request or an order you have placed. Those are operational, not promotional, and continue regardless.
Information is shared only where there is a reason to share it. The categories are:
Service providers are engaged under terms that limit their use of the information to the services they perform for us.
Information is stored and processed in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, you should understand that your information will be transferred to, and handled in, a jurisdiction whose data protection law may differ from your own.
Some information relating to export eligibility is deliberately held only in the United States, because that is where the compliance obligation sits.
Retention depends on why the information was collected.
Where a legal hold, investigation or audit applies, records are kept until it is lifted.
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards intended to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including access control, encryption in transit, and segregation of records relating to export eligibility.
No system is perfectly secure. We do not represent that the site or our systems are immune from compromise, and we ask that you do not send sensitive material through the site's public forms. If you need to send something sensitive, contact us first and we will arrange an appropriate channel.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information deleted, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format.
To make a request, write to the address below. We will verify your identity before acting, and will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Some rights are limited here. Where information is held to meet an export control or other legal obligation, we may be unable to delete it on request. Where that is the case we will tell you why.
This site is directed at organisations and procurement professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under [AGE]. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
This site links to third-party sites, including those of subsidiaries, partners and government resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before providing information to them.
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means alone. Restricted party screening is automated in part, but a person reviews any result before a request is declined.
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention. The version in force when you submit a request governs how that request is handled.
